Johnson Matthey unveils new end-to-end platform for synthetic fuels with eyes on the aviation sector

Johnson Matthey is one of the world's leading organizations in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. The company is highly active in the oil and gas industry, where it provides catalysts for crude oil refining as well as natural gas reforming into syngas, among others. Over the past decade, the company has been actively developing new catalytic technologies for synthetic fuels. This activity includes HyCOgen — launched in January 2022 — for production of syngas from CO2 and hydrogen, and Fischer-Tropsch (FT) CANS — launched in 2020 and developed in collaboration with BP — for production of liquid hydrocarbon fuels from syngas.
