H3X leverages 3D printing to improve electric motor efficiency

Electric motors can hardly be considered a new technology, as the devices form a crucial link between mechanical and electrical energy in nearly all parts of the industrial world. However, despite their age, the push for electrification of transportation has created a need for improved electric motors. Arguably no industry has stricter needs than aviation, where increased demands are placed on reducing weight, improving low-RPM torque and efficiency, and adding layers of redundancy.
