May Mobility and Via to partner on robotaxi service

While the hype around autonomous vehicle development has continued and even accelerated in the past year, Lux remains confident that the technology will first see commercial success as fleet-owned assets serving autonomous ride-hailing or robotaxi applications. May Mobility is a leading American autonomous shuttle developer that has provided more than 265,000 autonomous rides since 2018, with ongoing operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the company has recently partnered with mobility services provider Via Transportation to help expand its shuttle operations to new cities in 2021. The partners plan on introducing their first publicly available service in Arlington, Texas, in partnership with the city of Arlington and the University of Texas at Arlington.
