Seebo helps global chemical manufacturer reduce product quality losses by deploying the right AI tool

A global chemicals company had a number of significant process-driven losses in terms of product yield and quality. The most significant of these was a recurring quality-related loss, namely high levels of trichloroethane (a toxic side product) during production (5 ppm instead of the recommended 2 ppm). The company had close to 4,400 data tags to analyze for the root cause of this problem, and even with a suite of advanced analytics tools, process experts struggled to pinpoint the root cause. Due to the significant financial impact of the quality loss, the company decided to invest in generic artificial intelligence solutions but failed to yield useful results due to the complexity of its production process. In particular, generic AI solutions were incapable of analyzing data produced from continuous chemical manufacturing processes. The company then partnered with Seebo to build custom AI solutions to analyze the process data.
