Is Cobod's open materials platform the way to go for commercializing concrete 3D printing?

For the past several years, we have seen many housing demonstrations that have used concrete or sand 3D printing. Most companies active in the space develop their own material specialized for use with their hardware. One of the active companies, CyBe Construction, has certified its mortar for nonstructural building component manufacturing. Others like Apis Cor and Total Kustom are looking to develop their own material formulations as well. Unlike these companies, Cobod International, which follows an open materials strategy, expects construction professionals to develop their own material mixes to speed up the commercialization of concrete 3D printing.
