National Pork Board supports innovation in livestock management to address the industry's challenges

The Thrive accelerator program was launched in 2014 by California-based venture firm SVG Partners. Thrive works with its corporate partners to mentor agtech and foodtech startups on company and product development, as well as engage them with industry executives, potential investors, and customers. In November 2018, SVG Partners announced the accelerator's new partnership with the National Pork Board (NPB), also known as Pork Checkoff. While the NPB has funded animal health research in the past, this commitment is considered the first time the NPB has supported emerging animal health management solutions.
