HP Multi Jet Fusion finds rising success in expanding printed part market

HP is one of the world's leading printer companies, and as such, there has been sustained high interest in its 3D printing efforts since it first announced plans to release a 3D printer in 2014 (see the November 3, 2014 LRMJ). HP combines large company resources with an open materials platform approach to 3D printing and has formed partnerships with numerous companies across the value chain. In fact, as of April 2018, HP and Stratasys led the polymer printing industry in revenue from printer sales, ahead of 3D Systems and all others. HP also acquired 3D scanning company David Vision Systems (see the July 11, 2016 LRMDMJ) to improve printed part quality via integrated real-time computer vision-based part monitoring.
